Lead Abatement & Removal Services
Lead-based paint is the most common source of lead exposure in older properties. Our EPA-certified lead abatement team safely identifies, contains, and removes lead hazards from door frames, window frames, stairway railings, and painted surfaces — protecting occupants and keeping your property compliant with federal and local regulations.

Certified lead paint and component remediation.
Why lead abatement matters
Homes and buildings constructed before 1978 frequently contain lead-based paint. The greatest risk comes not from intact paint, but from deteriorating paint on friction and impact surfaces — door frames, window frames, and stairway railings — where everyday use generates toxic lead dust. Lead dust is invisible, persists in the environment, and is the leading cause of childhood lead poisoning. Professional abatement removes the hazard at its source and provides the documentation regulators require.
Our lead abatement process
We begin with an EPA Lead Risk Assessment using non-destructive X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analyzers to measure lead content in painted surfaces, paired with dust wipe sampling and laboratory analysis (including TCLP). Once hazards are documented, our EPA Lead Abatement Supervisor oversees controlled removal — sealed containment, HEPA-filtered negative air pressure, and licensed disposal of lead-containing waste. We finish with clearance dust wipe sampling and a written report confirming the space is safe to reoccupy.
Surfaces and components we treat
Lead paint is most often found on door frames, window frames, stairway railings, and other trim components. We abate lead from all of these, as well as painted walls, ceilings, and exterior siding. Every project follows EPA lead-safe work practices and is performed by EPA-certified, OSHA-trained staff.

Lead Abatement & Removal FAQ
Common questions
How do I know if my property has lead paint?+
If your building was built before 1978, lead-based paint may be present. The only way to confirm it is through testing. We use XRF analyzers for fast, non-destructive testing and pair results with dust wipe sampling and lab analysis to document lead hazards in writing.
Is lead abatement required by law?+
Federal EPA rules require lead-safe work practices for any renovation that disturbs painted surfaces in pre-1978 housing. Local agencies like HPD may also require abatement and clearance for violations. We hold four EPA lead certifications and produce the documentation regulators expect.
How long does lead abatement take?+
It depends on the scope — a single component may take a day, while a multifamily building can take several weeks. After our free estimate and risk assessment, we provide a clear timeline and containment plan so you know exactly what to expect.
